  • Salary Package: $160,000 – $180,000 + Superannuation (commensurate with experience)

  • Role Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected head contractor with a solid footprint across New South Wales, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of key education and institutional developments.

Based out of Western Sydney with works situated across surrounding regional corridors (including Wetherill Park and surrounding precincts), you will oversee full project lifecycles—managing programme programmes, commercial performance, site operations, and client relationships from procurement through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of educational building projects, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification, on programme, and within budget.

  • Drive site safety and compliance using HammerTech for WHS risk assessments, subcontractor inductions, and site safety management.

  • Manage project finances, RFIs, document control, procurement schedules, and cost reporting utilising Procore.

  • Coordinate head contracts and subcontracts, actively administering variations, progress claims, and programme milestones.

  • Lead project meetings with key stakeholders, including school principals, department representatives, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.

  • Manage, mentor, and support on-site delivery teams (Site Managers, Forepersons, and Project Engineers) to foster high safety and quality benchmarks.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Demonstrated background delivering commercial building projects as a Project Manager, with proven experience in the education sector (schools, tertiary institutions, or state infrastructure).

  • Hands-on proficiency with Procore project management software and HammerTech safety systems.

  • Strong commercial acumen, financial management, head-contract administration, and procurement expertise.

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation capabilities.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, or equivalent trade background.

  • Valid driver’s licence and permanent working rights in Australia.
